“Sound, Emotion, and User Experience”

Sound, Emotion, and User Experience
by Antti Jylhä (The Hague UAS, NL)
Thursday 26.4. at 9-13

A workshop about the relationship between sound and emotion in order to demonstrate and discuss how sound can be applied for designing user experiences. In this playful but informative workshop we practice the art of sketching emotional sounds with our voice and tune our ears to understand how one sound makes us laugh out loud and another one makes us cringe. The purpose is to uncover the massive underused potential of sound in user experience design.

What to expect? Information about analytical listening and sound prototyping, some philosophical discussion about the role of sound in our lives, and engaging exercises that will make you feel happy, baffled, excited, rewarded and empowered!

Come with an open mind and mentally prepare to open up your mouth and ears as well!
