“Citizen journalism in the age of live streaming”

Live reporting – citizen journalism in the age of live streaming
by Yuwei Lin (University of Stirling, UK)
Tuesday to Thursday 24.-26.4., at 9-12

This is an opportunity for you to learn how to report an event live. An event can be a game jam, a gig, a seminar talk, a football match, or a TV programme. We will be using a variety of social media tools including Twitter, Facebook Live, YouTube for the workshop. We will explore how to prepare for live reporting, what to cover in live reporting, how to source content, how to maintain audience interests, and ethics around live reporting. It is worth noting that live reporting is not about vlogging. This workshop is open to everyone. No prior knowledge required.
