Tampere is a rapidly developing and growing city located between two great lakes, Näsijärvi and Pyhäjärvi. It is the third largest city in Finland and the heart of Finnish industry. Almost every sixth resident of Tampere is a student of one of the three universities: Tampere University, Tampere University of Applied Sciences and Tampere University of Technology. That makes the city very dynamic, liberal and forward-looking.
Tampere being a city of knowledge and fresh ideas attracts investors and companies as well as generates new business activities and jobs. Alongside with that, there is also a rich cultural life: numerous international festivals, theatres, concert venues and museums. And besides all, Tampere is considered to be a sauna capital of Finland, with over 20 public saunas and Rajaportti - the oldest public sauna in Finland. Come and experience Tampere!
